Mouth Cams, Beer Cams, the 360 degree Bucket Cam, Tin Cams and the Doll Cam...

Between April 27 - 29, 2007 students of FAMU's Cinema and Photography programs (with guests) gathered to explore the fundamentals of heliography: light and it's action upon receptive surfaces.
Everyone made at least one pinhole camera and used it to make images. Simple cameras with a single aperture, more complex ones with several--all our devices enabled more than image making: they restored in us a sense of wonder and self-confidence having achieved something meaningful for ourselves. Participants travelled to Prague from Norway, Slovenia, United States, Canada, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Russia, Portugal, Albania, England and Turkmenistan.
This website reflects a few examples of what was seen, made and shared. It also allows us to participate collectively with others around the globe during World Pinhole Photography Day.
